Following the press release announcement and hype since then, TOHO Animations has released the FIRST teaser for their upcoming GODZILLA 怪獣惑星 (Translates to “Godzilla Monster Planet”) animation! Premiere is slated for November 17th, in Japan.
Re-imagining of the Godzilla world of the future, Toho is working with leading Japanese anime studio Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia, BLAME!) - which explains the heavy CG-rendered style of animation ala :BLAME! seen in this clip.
This original Japanese animation based on the Godzilla character, will have its exclusive premiere on Netflix worldwide following a Toho theatrical release in Japan.

Finally, handling the production is 3-consecutive Emmy award winning Japanese 3DCG animation studio, Polygon Pictures, which produced “Knights of Sidonia” and “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” on U.S. television earning Outstanding Special Class Animated Program at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
