The image of VASH THE STAMPEDE for TRIGUN is etched inside of my subconsciousness, and as well my waking and buying consciousness, especially when it comes to action figures, since the anime from the late 90s/early-2000s. What can I say about fancy-looking bounty hunters with huegassGUNS, innit?
Come "2023", we'll be witnessing a new anime adaptation by Orange (a Japanese animation studio based in Musashino, Tokyo that specializes in the production of 3DCG animation), titled "Trigun Stampede", with this trailer revealed during Anime Expo 2022!
From the trailer, looks to be we'll be seeing the origins of VASH, and probably how you becamse the VASH that we might have known and loved? Huge pistol but not the iconic weapon seen yet, which is fine, as this looks to go a slightly different of not a prelude-esque ealier incarnation of the bounty hunter, IMHO. And from the trailer, looks like HE is the bounty for once...?
It will be directed by Kenji Mutō, with Kōji Tajima serving as concept designer and credited with the character concept. Crunchyroll has licensed it for a global release. (Info via Wiki).
