Prepare to VOLT-IN for when the animated "Voltes V: Legacy" premieres (somewhen) on GMA-7!
PRESS: "Philippine broadcast giant GMA Network has unveiled the newest teaser for the highly-anticipated live-action remake of mecha icon "Voltes V" yesterday. The computer-generated imagery of the "Voltes V: Legacy" series was made by an all-Filipino staff of production house Riot Inc. Post Production and GMA Network's video graphics department or officially called as "GMA Post Production." The remake series is licensed by Voltes V franchise owner Toei Company, Ltd. (東映株式会社) through Philippine licensor Telesuccess Productions, Inc. At the last segment of the teaser, Super electromagnetic robot Voltes V was revealed with intricately-detailed design and a newly-imagined laser sword."
Also included in this post is a featurette (seen below) with Voltes V Legacy' Lead Concept Artist Noel Flores, who shares details of V5 remake (and other GMA-7 shows)... AND, you might want to scroll down to see a ART TOY CONNECTION...! You might want to stay connected to the following locales for updates of this animation project:

WHAT-IS: "Chōdenji Machine Voltes V (Japanese: 超電磁マシーン ボルテスVファイブ, Hepburn: Chōdenji Mashīn Borutesu Faibu, lit. "Super Electromagnetic Machine Voltes V"), popularly known simply as Voltes V (pronounced as ”Voltes Five”) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise. It is the second installment of the Robot Romance Trilogy, which also includes Chōdenji Robo Combattler V and Tōshō Daimos. It is directed by Tadao Nagahama and produced by Yoshiyuki Tomino. It aired on TV Asahi from June 4, 1977 to March 25, 1978." ().
What is also notable - especially in connection with The Philippines, is this entry on the wiki-page: "In April 1979, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos issued a directive banning Voltes V and other similarly themed anime series, ostensibly due to concerns about "excessive violence" and "harmful effects on children". This, however, led to speculations that the series was banned from broadcast due to its underlying themes of rebellion and revolution..."
Regardless of "real world" issue, here's hoping folks can enjoy this latest incarnation (check out stills snatched from @VoltesVTheDocumentary), and of course the ART TOY...!

"Filipino toy designer Juanito “Quiccs" Maiquez was seen holding an apparently Voltes V-inspired designer toy, based on an Instagram post by Voltes V Legacy director Mark Reyes (@direkmark) today. Last year, Quiccs revealed in his Instagram a photo of a toy that was supposed to be launched on the postponed TOYCON 2020. Reyes also announced today that he will collaborate with Quiccs. No details yet. "
