Teaser Trailer & Poster Images for SHIN ULTRAMAN

A teaser for SHIN ULTRAMAN has dropped, along with poster images for the incoming big screen re-envisioning of the classic Tsuburaya Productions character, directed by Shinji Higuchi (with screenplay by "Neon Genesis Evangelion" creator Hideaki Anno - who co-directed 2016's "SHIN GODZILLA" - with imagery seen in this teaser exactly reminiscent of said-"Shin Godzilla", showcasing multiple characters in suits running around reacting to kaiju rampaging thru mountains, and the emergence of ULTRAMAN at the very end...!

Wikipedia mentioned: "The staff behind the production of the film are the same crew behind the 2016 film Shin Godzilla... The movie is set to premier in Japan in Summer 2021, celebrating the 55th anniversary of Ultraman and the Ultra Series instalments as a whole."

The first theatrical poster of Shin Ultraman (seen above), featured the Beta Capsule (center), the SSSP badge (left) and the SSSP dog tag (right). The poster seen up top teases the (human) actors for this film. Head to the film's official website at shin-ultraman.jp for news, along with their newly launched Twitter at twitter.com/shin_ultraman...!

"SSSP" in the Ultraman-Lore stands for "Science Special Search-Party". "The SSSP was formed to investigate and deal with events and incidents directly and indirectly related to Kaiju and aliens." (ultra.fandom.com). I might not have wanted to be "Ultraman" growing up, but I hella wanted to be in "SSSP"...!

And there is an "updated" explanation for the DESIGN of SHIN ULTRAMAN (First Revealed HERE) specifically of the LACK of the (blinking) chest/color-"timer", with the Wiki-entry stating:
"... The concept is based on an Ultraman painting by Tohl Narita in 1983 called “Incarnation of Truth, Justice, and Beauty”. The portrait in question and the hero's design in the movie lacked a Color Timer, a device that notified Ultraman of his time limit in Earth's atmosphere every time he transformed (for three minutes). This redesign of the original hero was based on Hideaki Anno's desire to revisit Tohl Narita's original design. Likewise, Anno also had an experience in directing his own fan film of Return of Ultraman during his days as a filming student."
