"Hammerhead" by Ōtarō Maijō & Mahiro Maeda (for #JapanAnimatorExpo)

WARNING: GORE AHEAD “ Hammerhead ” is the name of this animation short, as seen in Japan Animator Expo (Ep #25). Done by Ōtarō Maijō & Mahiro Maeda - which depicts the gruesome fate of the unkillable “superhero/supervillain” known as “Hammerhead”, and of his connection to his teenage daughter. *"HAMMER HIM DEAD." I beg you, please hit, crush, and kill him.* A really “interesting” scenario, especially with the proliferation of super-powered characters - both “hero” and designated “villain” in this pop culture generation. Coupled with the extreme gore, this would make an exceptionally welcomed, especially in this era of “One Punch Man”, not seen since the early 90s, IMHO. Originally announced as part of the second season lineup; "Hammerhead" had since been taken out of the theatrical exhibition lineup after online release (Info via Wiki ).

I really like this video, and have always been interested to see/know what anime folks out there like! I don;t do forums, so there’s that :p Having started this particular blog, truthfully was to be able to geekout about anime I watch and enjoy, in an attempt to fill the void in real life, where I have no one else to geekout along with! Sad but true LOL I don’t even have kakis to go together with at local anime-themed events, like Anime Festival Asia (I’ve not gone for a year already since), because it no longer feels “fun” to be surrounded by likeminded folks … it has become much more isolating :p Still enjoy me some anime tho HAHAHAHA Cheers Andy

An anime adaptation was announced on March 7, 2025, and we were introduced to a teaser trailer circa AnimeJapan 2025, and I can relate! LOL SYNOPSIS: Even at the age of 40, Tanzaburo Tojima is still seriously trying to become a Kamen Rider. However, just as he was about to give up on that dream, he gets caught up in a robbery case by a "Fake Shocker" that causes a stir in society... "Idol Magazine Special" featuring Marvel's The @VENGERS illustrated by Taku たく for Bin1 Production , depicting the ladies of THE IDOLM@STER anime as an all-female members of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes"! Apparently this comic/manga will be available at the IDOL STAR FESTIV@L（ idolstarfes.com ） happening October 25th for 765 Production's 10th Anniversary … but you know what? I have zero concrete proof that that is the case, as I am assuming it is, based on vague online translation of Japanese, and me trying to piece everything together LOL Enjoy the pics nevertheless!
